Program Blog May 2026

May is the beginning of the rainy season, but this year it has been a bit spotty.  There have been some rains, but it feels as though the season has not yet begun in earnest.  This month we were delighted to receive a student group from Western Kentucky University for a week-long immersion, it is always such a pleasure to see how much learning can be accomplished in a short time : )

People of all ages have had the opportunity at Cloudbridge, to learn more about biodiversity, and the many ways in which healthy ecosystems support our health and well-being.  For some visitors, Cloudbridge offers a first-time experience with hiking or for example, the first tree that someone has planted.  We always hope that this only serves as inspiration for people to get out into nature even more, and hopefully plant many more trees in their area : )

It is part of human nature to care more for the things that we have more knowledge of.  Once visitors get a taste of the inspiring biodiversity that can be found in the cloud forest, they will usually be more observant and appreciative of the wildlife that occurs in their own areas.
