We continue to have exciting and fun activities at Cloudbridge.  At the end of May we participated in a national amphibian count, and during the first week of June we received an excellent student group visit from Western Kentucky University.  Students learned about environmental education, ecotourism and science, and all were impressed by the beauty and biodiversity of the Cloud Forest.  Coming up on June 21:  Cloudbridge is part of the course for the Valle del Chirripó Ultramarathon!  There will be a number of different activities and distances, so please join in the festivities if you are around : )

CFCA board member Derick Strode was one of the teachers accompanying this group, and we are glad that he was finally able to make it down to the reserve after a number of years away.

Students from the environmental education group were able to learn about the efforts made by the Chirripo Park rangers in the field of environmental education.

It´s that time of year again, when the rains allow for some tree-planting, and we are delighted to have planted trees in Mark´s meadow along with the student group.
The group from WKU was also able to visit the National University of Costa Rica, where San Gerardo native and long-time friend of Cloudbridge shared a great talk about sustainable tourism in Costa Rica.

SAVE THE DATE!  Next July 12th we will be celebrating our 4th annual Cloud Forest Festival, with an ecological story-teller and other amazing activities, we hope to see you there!
