Here in Costa Rica, Holy Week is one of the main yearly celebrations, and schools have the whole week off. This is a wonderful opportunity for families to spend some quality time in nature, and to that end we will be open throughout this holiday week, with our regular schedule (every day from 7 am to 5 pm). March is usually the tail-end of the dry season, and though we have received some nice rainfalls, in general the reserve has been relatively dry.
Once again, it has been a busy month, at the moment we have a great group of researchers and volunteers on-site, and we also hosted a nature-drawing workshop with Anna-Rose, which was a great success! This is in addition to the day visitors, guests in our rental casitas, and participants in our guided tours, which we always recommend to people who would like to learn more about the wonderful forest they are visiting! We also gave an educational tour to students of Ecological Restoration from Pitzer College, we are grateful to be included regularly as a complement to the lowland forest where the students spend most of their time.

Once again, our hospitality coordinator Anthony Garita has the patience and skill to capture these stunning images of wildlife on the reserve.
